Dina Sbaragli, from the art of embroidery
to business acumen
1948, at 14 years old the founder Dina Sbaragli started to learn to embroider by hand and by machine to create trousseaus for brides in the city of Forlì.
The first embroidered collection
As time passed, she created her own small collection of embroidery, and began to contact the fashion houses of the time by telephone to propose her work.
Beyond the limits of an era
With her suitcase full of embroidered creations, she began traveling by train to Bologna, and then Milan, up to Paris, meeting the greatest designers, from Gianni Versace, to Giorgio Armani, Valentino, Jean-Paul Gaultier and La Croix, and many others.
Foresight and innovation
Her entrepreneurial foresight combined with her creative ability led her to choose to technically improve the embroidery machines of the time to speed up production and satisfy customer needs.
The growth of the company, through new generations
In 1973 Dina Sbaragli, thanks to the purchase of the first multi-head industrial embroidery machines, started her own business following her great dream, today carried forward by the new generations, by her daughter Patrizia Gelosi and by her granddaughters, Anna and Lucia Falcini.
